Well-founded expertise
Founded in 1948, FTCAP GmbH has joined Mersen in 2018, bringing two well-known brands of capacitors to the Mersen product portfolio of solutions for power management: FTCAP and Leclanché.
Over the decades, FTCAP has developed a great experience in the design and manufacturing of capacitors used in diverse industries. The product spectrum includes both film and aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
Manufactured in Germany
FTCAP is one of the few manufacturers who still produce all of their products in Germany – for quality reasons. Short distances between development and production ensure efficient processes and enable close coordination with our customers.
Diverse custom versions
In addition to standard capacitors in small and medium-sized quantities, FTCAP also offers special custom-made products for demanding applications: we work in close cooperation with the customer to implement complex custom solutions.

Applications
Mersen capacitors are used in many products where a layperson would not expect them at all. For example, they are an integral part of autonomous defibrillators, hybrid race cars, solar ships, medical imaging, UPS or power converters. The growing demand for power electronics coming from various booming applications, including electric and hybrid electric vehicles, factory automation, photovoltaics, wind turbines and home appliances, means also a growing demand for DC power capacitors.
