Mersen Environmental Policy

To become our customers' preferred circuit protection supplier and meet the expectations of all of our stakeholders, Mersen is committed to an active and responsible process for protecting the environment.

Our policy, consistent with Mersen's environmental policy, consists of five broad directives that provide a framework for setting and reviewing environmental objectives in each Mersen location:

• Acting at the design stage of new products and processes to prevent pollution and protect human beings and the environment
• Providing our customers with high-quality products while minimizing the products' environmental impact
• Complying with environmental legislation, regulations and other requirements and, if necessary, assisting in the development of environmental rules and regulations pertaining to locations or products
• Monitoring, reducing (when possible) and controlling the disposal of wastes and the use of toxic substances, including the use of recycling technologies
• Constantly looking for ways to reduce our consumption of water, energy, raw materials and packaging

Part of achieving these objectives is establishing an environmental management system that is integrated with our existing quality management system and meets the requirements of ISO 14001 at all our sites around the world.

Our goal is to satisfy all environmental requirements that apply during the life cycle of our products. We will do this through continuous performance improvement, including pollution prevention and the integration of environmental considerations into the development, production and sale of our products and services.

To achieve this goal, we will collectively focus our efforts toward a world where the environment is preserved.
